Smilers® Clear Aligners

Smilers® Clear Aligners offer a gentle, discreet way to move towards a straighter, healthier smile without the look or feel of traditional braces. At The Tooth Fairy Dental Studio, you’ll be supported by an experienced team in South Africa, working with colleagues in France to provide personalised clear aligner treatment.

Your Treatment Journey

Your treatment begins with a relaxed consultation, digital scan, and personalised plan so you can understand the process and preview your expected results before getting started.

Your custom-made, virtually invisible aligners are designed to guide your teeth gradually and comfortably into their ideal position. You’ll usually change to a new set of aligners every one to two weeks, depending on your treatment plan.

Why Patients Choose Smilers®

  • Virtually invisible: Clear acrylic aligners are discreet and comfortable, with no wires or brackets.
  • Removable during treatment: You can take your aligners out for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing, making treatment easier to fit into everyday life.
  • Designed around your needs: Treatment time varies depending on the complexity of your case, with many treatments taking between 6 months and 2 years.

Ongoing Support and Lasting Results

We’ll check in with you regularly to make sure your smile is progressing as planned and to support you at every stage. Once your new smile has been achieved, custom retainers help protect your results so you can enjoy your beautifully aligned smile for years to come.

Tooth Whitening

A Brighter, More Confident Smile

Age, tobacco, tea, coffee, wine, and soda can affect your teeth’s natural white colour, which can make you look and feel older and less confident. Professional teeth whitening can remove surface stains and brighten your smile without sensitivity, creating a natural, confident smile.

At The Tooth Fairy Dental Studio, we offer the following treatment options for stained teeth:

In-Office Whitening Treatments

Our professional in-office one-hour teeth whitening treatments can brighten your smile in just a single visit. The procedure is non-invasive and comfortable, even for sensitive teeth.

Take-Home Whitening Trays and Electronic Blue Light Whitening Options

Our custom-made, take-home teeth whitening trays are a convenient and affordable alternative to in-office whitening treatments. They can also be used in addition to in-office professional whitening to maintain your bright smile between visits! Just take the custom trays and gel home with you and whiten your teeth from the comfort of your own home!

Bonding and Veneers

Bonding

Small chips, gaps, and stains can affect your confidence and oral health. Dental bonding is a simple yet effective solution. It involves applying a composite resin directly to your teeth to cover damage, hide imperfections, and create a beautiful, durable smile.

The colour is matched to your natural tooth shade and blends in beautifully. Best of all, the entire treatment can be completed in just one easy visit. Bonding can address a single discoloured tooth, small gaps between teeth, little chips, cracks or cavities, and oddly shaped teeth.

Veneers

Improve the appearance of your teeth and smile with veneers. Usually made of porcelain or resin, veneers are thin, custom-made shells that fit over your teeth.

This treatment can transform the shape, colour, length, or size of your teeth. Veneers can improve the appearance of stains and discolouration, as well as crooked, rotated, cracked, or chipped teeth. They look just like natural teeth and can leave you with a brighter, straighter smile.

Choosing Between Bonding and Veneers?

At first glance, these treatments seem similar, but there are key differences.

Cost

Bonding is more affordable than veneers. Bonding is done using composite filling material, while veneers are made from porcelain.

Speed

Bonding can be completed in just one appointment. Veneers take longer due to the manufacturing process.

Transformation

For more significant changes, veneers may be the better choice.

Dental Crowns: Protecting and Restoring Your Smile

A dental crown is a custom-made cover placed over a damaged or weakened tooth. It helps protect the tooth, restore its shape and strength, and improve the way it looks and feels.

When Is a Dental Crown Needed?

Your dentist may recommend a crown when a tooth needs more support than a filling can provide.

  • To protect a weak or cracked tooth
  • To restore a heavily decayed or worn tooth
  • To strengthen a tooth after root canal treatment
  • To improve the shape, colour, or appearance of a tooth
  • To support a bridge or complete an implant restoration

Crown Materials

Crowns can be made from porcelain, ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal, or strong metal alloys. Your dentist will help you choose the best option based on where the tooth is, how it looks, and how much chewing force it needs to handle.

What to Expect During Treatment

Most crowns are completed over two visits.

  1. Preparation: The tooth is shaped, impressions are taken, and a temporary crown is fitted.
  2. Placement: The final crown is checked for fit and appearance, then securely bonded in place.

Longevity and Key Takeaway

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, a dental crown can last for many years while helping you eat, speak, and smile comfortably.

05

Dental Bridge on Natural Teeth

A dental bridge is a proven, fixed solution for replacing one or more missing teeth. It works by securely anchoring a custom-made replacement tooth or teeth to the healthy natural teeth on either side of the gap.

The result is a seamless restoration that looks natural, restores your ability to chew and speak comfortably, and prevents surrounding teeth from drifting out of position.

A dental bridge offers an effective way to reclaim the confidence of a complete smile without surgery. Modern materials allow bridges to blend beautifully with your natural teeth, providing a strong, durable, and attractive solution that can last for many years with proper care.

Benefits of a Natural Tooth-Supported Bridge

  • Replaces missing teeth with a fixed, non-removable solution
  • Restores chewing function and speech
  • Prevents neighbouring teeth from shifting
  • Enhances the appearance of your smile
  • Provides a faster alternative to some tooth replacement options
  • Designed to look and feel like natural teeth
06

Dental Implant Crowns: Completing Your Implant Restoration

A dental implant crown is the visible tooth that attaches to an implant. It completes the restoration and is designed to look, feel, and function like a natural tooth.

Unlike a traditional crown, which fits over an existing tooth, an implant crown attaches to an implant that replaces the missing tooth root.

When Is a Dental Implant Crown Needed?

An implant crown may be recommended when one missing tooth needs to be replaced in a stable, natural-looking way.

  • Restores a missing tooth without altering neighbouring teeth
  • Improves chewing comfort and confidence
  • Helps protect the jawbone after tooth loss
  • Blends naturally with surrounding teeth
  • Supports a long-term result with proper care

Materials Used for Implant Crowns

Implant crowns are usually made from porcelain, ceramic, zirconia, or porcelain-fused-to-metal. These materials are chosen for strength, comfort, and a natural appearance.

What to Expect During Treatment

Implant crown treatment is completed in stages to create a secure and lasting result.

  1. Implant placement: The implant has already been placed and has healed.
  2. Crown design: Impressions are taken so the crown can be aligned with the implant.
  3. Crown placement: The crown is attached, checked, and secured for comfort and function.

Longevity and Key Takeaway

With good care and regular dental visits, implant crowns can last many years. They offer a secure, natural-looking way to restore your smile and protect your oral health.

07

Implant-Supported Dental Bridge

An implant-supported bridge is one of the most advanced and long-lasting ways to replace multiple missing teeth. Instead of relying on neighbouring teeth for support, the bridge is securely attached to dental implants that are placed directly into the jawbone.

This creates an exceptionally stable foundation that closely mimics the strength and function of natural tooth roots.

Unlike traditional bridges, implant-supported bridges help preserve the jawbone, maintain facial structure, and eliminate the need to alter healthy adjacent teeth. The result is a restoration that not only looks incredible but also allows you to eat, speak, and smile with complete confidence.

For those seeking a solution that is strong, reliable, and built to last, an implant-supported bridge can be a life-changing investment in both oral health and quality of life.

Benefits of an Implant-Supported Bridge

  • Replaces multiple missing teeth with exceptional stability
  • Feels and functions remarkably like natural teeth
  • Helps prevent bone loss in the jaw
  • Preserves healthy neighbouring teeth
  • Restores powerful chewing ability
  • Improves facial support and appearance
  • Designed for long-term durability and confidence
